JERUSALEM UNIVERSITY COLLEGE
Globally engaged. Critically acclaimed. Biblically based.

For over 65 years, Jerusalem University College has offered graduate and undergraduate study programs that engage the biblical text, explore its multi-faceted context, and maximize the rich educational resources of Jerusalem. First Prez’s 2025 Holy Land Tour is built on JUC’s Pastor-Parishioner Study Program. Click HERE for more details.

JUC grounds its mission in the broad evangelical traditions that focus on the centrality of Jesus Christ and the authority of Scripture. This backdrop of faith within the context of the Holy Land creates a rich and unique opportunity to educate students (and tour participants) through living learning experiences.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
This two-week introduction to the historical and geographical settings of the Bible will enrich your knowledge and appreciation of Scripture. Your understanding of the Bible will grow as you recount biblical events in their actual locations. Your experiences will give substance to images that the biblical writers used to communicate the realities of God and His work in the world.

JUC’s Pastor-Parishioner Study Program is a non-credit program and is taught by the same academically-qualified faculty members who teach JUC’s for-credit short-term programs. Participants in the Pastor and Parishioner program may be able to receive academic credit if they complete additional coursework at the discretion of the instructor.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
JUC’s short-term programs of study are quite different from typical Holy Land tours. Our instructors are academically qualified faculty members who will lead in your discovery of the land of the Bible. You will visit nearly the entire country of Israel, including sites not normally viewed by participants of typical tours. While daily hiking can be rigorous and sustained in rugged terrain, it will allow you to read the Bible on site and enhance your spiritual life like never before.

FOR THOSE WHO ARE APPLYING
FOR THE FIRST TIME

Contact Tim Shaw and Kathy Makuakane, the leaders for the 2025 Holy Land Tour, to learn more about this amazing trek through the lands of the Bible. We will continue to closely monitor the security situation in the Middle East and will be adding our prayers for peace. Jerusalem University College is a trustworthy, experienced partner who will continue to provide sound guidance to us. JUC is committed to providing us with a safe and deeply meaningful experience.

Tim has first-hand experience with Jerusalem University College. His first trip to the Holy Land was with JUC. In 2007, Tim completed a three-week course called the Geographical and Historical Setting of the Bible. That trip included a three-day extension into neighboring Jordan. Our 2025 trip (the Pastor-Parishioner Study Program) is a shorter version of the course Tim took.

WHAT YOU’LL DO TO GET READY
For many, this will be a once in a lifetime opportunity and we want you to get the most out of the experience. That’s why we have selected Jerusalem University College. JUC’s Christ-centered guide will have extensive knowledge of the Bible, the land and the history of the region. This will be a first class educational experience that will be unforgettable.

Prior to our departure we will meet together as a group at least 3-4 times so that when we arrive in the Holy Land many will already be friends. You will also spend about 40 hours reading and working on maps that you will take into the field as we travel around the lands of the Bible. Participants in this program will primarily use the maps and resources created by Biblical Backgrounds. These resources are included in the cost of your trip and will be provided to you after paying your deposit.

Click on the video below for an overview of these historical and geographical resources that are going to give you a solid foundation for our field studies in the Holy Land.

Optional Add-On

ADDITIONAL COST:
$1275 per person
